1StopBK.com is a Florida State non-profit and specializes in providing credit counseling for individuals who are considering bankruptcy. The founders of 1StopBK.com have years of experience in serving the needs of the educational and financial sectors.
Our Mission at 1StopBK.com is to provide our clients with financial knowledge and alternatives that impact them today, tomorrow, and the rest of their lives. We do this by 1) Obeying the law 2) Taking care of our clients 3) Taking care of our staff 4) Enhancing the Financial Education Industry.
1StopBK.com is dedicated to assisting individuals who both meet and exceed the requirements of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCA). Under this legislation, individuals who file for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy on or after October 17, 2005, in most judicial districts, must complete a credit counseling course prior to filing bankruptcy.

Marcy Walter
1StopBk.com's primary financial education instructor is Marcy Walter. Marcy has been educating clients as a Certified Credit Counselor and Financial Management Course instructor for the last five years and has counseled thousands of clients. She is certified as a Certified Personal Finance Counselor by Fincert.Org. Marcy feels strongly about the credit counseling industry and strives to provide information that will fit the unique circumstances of her customers. Marcy enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and walking.

Non-Profit Status:
As a non-profit corporation, our Board of Directors serve without any form of compensation for board services provided to 1StopBK.com. 1StopBK.com is a Florida State nonprofit corporation that is not currently seeking 501(C)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service.
Bankruptcy Certificates:
The Bankruptcy Abuse and Prevention Act of 2005 requires an "entrance" and "exit" certification for all individuals filing bankruptcy.
1StopBK.com does charge a onetime fee for certifications. These certification fees are the funds that support our programs and help 1StopBK.com to achieve its stated Objectives above.
